Simplicity Wears the Crown

For months people have been desperately trying to figure out what designer Kate would wear down the aisle.  Not to our surprise the royal princess wore Alexander McQueen gown. The white satin v-neck gown was topped off with a nine foot train.  It had a sweet heart satin cut with a v-neck lace overlay. Kate looked beautiful and she played it safe and classy with her gown just fit for royalty.

Spring Minis

Over Easter break I have received loadssssss of emails from Express, Forever 21, & Charlotte Ruse advertising their spring collections.  All these retail stores were advertising their spring collections which included summer dresses.  The print, cut, and styles all catch my attention. Express has a smaller variety of day wear dresses, and they are not pocket friendly.  Forever 21 is the perfect store to find affordable and trendy dresses.

Whitney Eve....With Love

Whitney Eve launched her third line at New York’s Fashion week.  Although her pieces are not pocket friendly …..especially for a college student.  I decided to write about Whitney because she has an inspiring story.  Whitney is a LA native and went to the University of Southern California.  Whitney was an intern for Tommy Hilfiger before she became a star on the MTV series "The Hills" where she interned for Teen Vogue Magazine.

In "The Hills" Whitney showed how a strong work ethic and determination can get you a long way.  Whitney left Teen Vogue and got a job offering at People's Revolution.  Kelly Cutrone (owner of People's Revolution) taught the do's and don’ts of the fashion industry.

..We might not all get to be stars on TV, but her passion and drive has opened up a world of opportunities. Whitney is a remodel for all aspiring fashion designers; you can't just wake up one morning and have your line featured in fashion week.  You have to work your way... ladies and gents start interning.
